Long Island’s Best Beer Fest Back at Nassau Coliseum

UNIONDALE, NY, March 13, 2009 – Coming on the heels of a sold-out Philly Craft Beer Festival, event producer Starfish Junction is putting the finishing touches on the Spring Craft Beer Festival being held on March 28, 2009 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. More than 50 brewers from around the country will be in attendance, pouring samples of over 100 of their finest brews.

The brewer lineup includes many of Long Island’s favorites—Blue Point Brewing Co., Southhampton Ales & Lagers, Black Forest Brew Haus, Brick House Brewery, and John Harvard’s Brew House. Making their debut at the Spring Craft Beer Festival will be two new breweries, Fire Island Brewing Company and Long Ireland Beer Company, both based on Long Island. Other notable breweries that will be present at the festival include Dogfish Head Brewery, Arcadia Ales, Magic Hat, Blue Moon, Schmaltz Brewery, Asahi, and Captain Lawrence Brewing Company.

New to the festival this year will be the Samuel Adams Beer Garden—featuring their award-winning beers, food prepared with select Sam Adams beers, giveaways, and more. Also new this year will be the live Blue Moon canvas painting where attendees will be able to paint on a giant canvas to complete a rendering of the famous Blue Moon label art. An entertaining and informative lineup of speakers and special programming will be released shortly.

The 3rd annual Spring Craft Beer Festival brings together more than 50 of the nation’s top craft breweries for a spectacular tasting event. The event will have two sessions: 12:30-4pm and 5:30-9:00pm. A limited number of tickets will be sold. Tickets can be purchased at or at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum’s box office during regular business hours for $45 each. Designated driver tickets are available for $10 each. 21+ with valid photo ID only.

The event is produced by Starfish Junction Productions and sponsored by WBAB 102.3 FM, Long Island Press, and Imbibe Magazine. This event will help raise funds for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund.
