BRENTWOOD, NY.-April 10, 2010 – The Green Living Expo, being held April 24-25, 2010 at Suffolk County Community College's Brentwood Campus, will offer Long Islanders the opportunity to do some spring cleaning and help the planet by visiting the Clare Rose Recycling Mall at the Green Living Expo. Suffolk Community College is located at 1001 Crooked Hill Road, Brentwood, NY 11717. Show hours are 11am-5pm (4/24) and 11am-4pm (4/25). Admission is free.

The 2010 Green Living Expo LI will offer consumers and business owners the opportunity for on-site recycling when they visit the event's newly created Recycling Mall. The Recycling Mall is sponsored by Clare Rose Inc, one of Long Island's biggest beverage distributors and recyclers, and includes participation from national recyclers and upcyclers like Nike® and Dress for Success®. "Sometimes recycling isn't just about taking something old, grinding it down into small particles, and creating something new. Sometimes it is about repurposing, redistributing, and relinquishing items which we once held dear and for which we had great use," said Lynda Calimano, Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of the Green Living Newsletter, one of the Expo's sponsors. "It is our hope that visitors planning to attend the expo will identify items that can be recycled, reused, and reinvented to yield a benefit to the planet and those in need," she added.
