More than 70 Breweries to Participate at 2nd Annual Valley Forge Beer Fest, December 8th Food Drive will Help Local Families in Need

OAKS, PA-December 4, 2012 - The producers of the 2012 Valley Forge Beer Fest being held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA confirmed today that the final brewery list for the upcoming beer fest has exceeded all expectations, tipping the scale at more than 70 participating breweries.

"The response from the breweries, brewery reps, and distributors has been absolutely amazing," said Andy Calimano, owner of Starfish Junction Productions, the event producer. "With over 70 breweries serving samples of more than 150 beers, the attendees once again are in for an amazing experience. This kind of support validates all the statistics about the growing interest in craft and artisanal beers," he added.

The event will feature an incredible variety of beers from the local area, from across the country, and from around the globe. New to the festival this year are several stand-out and award-winning craft breweries, including Goose Island Beer Company(IL); Twisted Pine Brewing Company (CO), Starr Hill (VA), and The Shed Brewery (VT). Local brewery, Sly Fox, will be pouring their Black Raspberry Reserve and their Christmas Ale to give a holiday feel to the event.

Festival attendees are also invited to participate in the beer seminars led by industry pros and local beer authorities covering topics as varied as home brewing, how to start a brewery, and ales of the revolution.

The event will help raise funds for the CBC, Committee to Benefit the Children, a local charity that provides resources for treatment, care and family support to benefit area children with cancer, leukemia and serious blood disorders. The CBC will be conducting a food drive at the festival. Attendees who bring a non-perishable food item will receive a free raffle ticket and become eligible to win great prizes.
