"This is going to be our best show yet," said Andy Calimano, owner of Starfish Junction, producer of the event. "We can't think of a better way to kick off Philly Beer Week than with this year's star-studded lineup of breweries-including New Belgium, Victory, 10 Barrel, and Troegs. This event will be the largest festival during the week and will have the most brewers at a single event. For attendees, this will be an amazing experience."
This beer tasting extravaganza will feature an incredible variety of beers from the local Philly market, from across the U.S., and from around the globe. With over 60 breweries from which to sample beer, there is sure to be something to please everyone.
New this year...the event is excited to welcome newcomer, Shorts Brewing Company to the festival for the first time. Based out of Michigan, Shorts Brewing Company is known for their award-winning experimental brews-including Key Lime Pie which took home a gold medal at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival.
Food will be available for sale from select members of the Philadelphia Mobile Food Association (PMFA), representing the city's most desirable, delectable, and Vendy award-winning local food trucks, including: sushi burritos from Hai Street Kitchen; cheese curds from The Cow and the Curd; gourmet burgers from Wahlburgers; pizza cones from Kono Pizza; bbq sandwiches from Baby Blues BBQ; and more.
The event will help raise funds for the Philadelphia Committee to Benefit the Children (CBC), a local charity that provides resources for treatment, care and family support to benefit area children with cancer, leukemia and serious blood disorders.
