FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE 10TH ANNUAL
PHILLY CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL - Mar 5
VIP Beer List Released
PHILADELPHIA, PA. February 29, 2016 - The Philly Craft Beer Festival, the event Forbes Traveler called one of the "Top 10 Beer Festivals in America" and winner of Philly Beer Scene's coveted "Best Beer Fest" award for three years in a row, will return to The Navy Yard in Philadelphia this Saturday, March 5th, 2016 for another great celebration of craft beer and brewing. The Festival, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary has just released their list of VIP beers. "VIP ticketholders are going to be enjoying some great beer during the special bonus hour," said Alyssa O'Keefe who heads up this festival's production team at Starfish Junction Productions. Tickets and info: www.PhillyCraftBeerFest.com. A sell-out is predicted.
While the event itself celebrates its tenth anniversary, local favorite, Victory Brewing Company, is also celebrating a milestone of their own--their 20th Anniversary. For the VIP session, they will be pouring Anniversary 20, an experimental IPA brewed with citrus and pine. "This is a limited-time release and the VIP festival attendees get to try some of it. We're thrilled that Victory is bringing this special beer to our show," added O'Keefe.
New to the Philadelphia area and the festival, 2SP Brewing (Aston, PA) is looking forward to a busy meet and greet with area beer lovers. They will be pouring Depths Unknown, a dry-hopped American Trippel. Attendees can also enjoy samples from the "California Uncommon" table presented by Bella Vista Distributors, and will feature popular west coast breweries. Among the standouts is The Bruery ( Orange County) who will be pouring their now retired and award-winning Rueuze, an intensely tart beer with notes of hay, barnyard funk, apricots and olives. Since this is now in retirement, the Philly Craft Beer Festival may be one of the last places to get your taste buds on it.
Taking recommendations from previous year's attendees, this year's VIP session will have its biggest variety yet-with styles varying from Double IPAs to a number of ESBs. Also among the featured VIP beers will be Ballast Point's Peppermint Victory at Sea (an American Porter style beer), and Manayunk Brewery's Baby Got Hops (an IPA brewed with habanero peppers and lime). A full list of the participating VIP breweries and the beers they are serving is available at the event website. www.phillycraftbeerfestival.com.
In addition to these mouth-watering brews, Philly's most popular food trucks including Wahlburgers, the Cow and the Curd, Kono Pizza, Nick's Roast Beef, Oink & Moo BBQ, Foolish Waffles and others will be there offering an amazing variety of street food for sale at the event.
The 10th annual Philly Craft Beer Festival will be held outdoors under tents, rain, snow, or shine on March 5, 2016 at The Navy Yard located at 4747 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19112. The Navy Yard is easily accessible by SEPTA and offers free on-site parking. Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided for festival attendees from the Broad & Pattison SEPTA station to the festival.
The Philly Craft Beer Festival offers two sessions VIP 12:30-5:00 pm and General Admission 1:30-5:00 pm. The VIP session will give VIP ticketholders an additional hour at the festival, more intimate access to brewers, and the ability to try the rare and sought-after beers that are only being poured at this VIP session. VIP tickets are $75 each, and are nearly sold out. General Admission tickets are $46 each. Designated Driver tickets are $10 each. All ticket types can be purchased at the event website www.PhillyCraftBeerFest.com. A limited number of tickets will be sold, another sell-out is expected.
