BAY SHORE, NY. February 14, 2017 - Starfish Junction Productions, creators and producers of the Pour the Core Hard Cider Festival franchise was present last week at CiderCon, the annual cider industry conference produced by the United States Association of Cider Makers (USACM), to accept the award for “Event of the Year, East Region”. The selection committee singled out the Pour the Core event held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for this high honor. Pour the Core Hard Cider Festivals are also held annually in Boston, Long Island, and Brooklyn.

The USACM is an organization of cider and perry producers in the United States with a mission to grow a diverse and successful U.S. cider industry. It provides valuable information, resources and services to its members and advocates on their behalf. More than 1,000 conference attendees filled the grand ballroom at the Hilton hotel, Chicago, for the award ceremony where Pour the Core Hard Cider Festival took top Event of the Year honors. “For our effort and hard work to be acknowledged by such a prestigious group was a true honor,” said Kristyn Dolan, Director of Event Production and Sales for Starfish Junction Productions. “We couldn’t be successful without the support from the various cider makers, distributors, volunteers, and sponsors. What an incredible validation,” Dolan added.

The 5th annual Philadelphia Pour the Core: Hard Cider Festival will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at The Navy Yard in Philadelphia. “We’re busy making plans for this year’s event. Lots of great ideas are kicking around here at our office. It promises to be our best one yet,” said Dolan.
