PHILADELPHIA, PA.  January 21, 2020 – The Philly Craft Beer Festival, the event USA Today named one of the 10 Best Beer Festivals in the U.S. and Forbes Traveler called one of the “Top 10 Beer Festivals in America,” will return to the Philadelphia Navy Yard on Saturday March 7, 2020 for another great celebration of craft beer and brewing.  The Festival will showcase more than 50 of the best local and national craft breweries, serving over 150 different beers at two sessions, a VIP session from 12:30-5:00pm; and a General Session from 1:30-5:00pm.  Tickets and info:  Ticket are on sale now. “The craft beer industry has really changed over the last few years. Yet one thing that has remained constant is the fact that Philly is a beer-centric city with a loyal fan base of fun and finicky beer lovers.  Our event at The Navy Yard will delight them all,” said Andy Calimano, owner of event producer, Starfish Junction.  “We think this will be our best fest yet,” Calimano added.

Attendees will enjoy beer from local favorites like Yards Brewing Company, Evil Genius Beer Company, Troegs, and Conshohocken Brewing Company, plus new breweries making their festival debut, among them:  Punch Buggy Brewing Company,  Triple Bottom Brewing, Stonebridge Brewing Co., and from Bucks County, LoSo Brewing.  

Philly’s most popular food trucks including Grilly Cheese, Have a Ball, Roasted Liberties, Stuffd Buns, Baby Blues BBQ, Waffle Mamas, and Chanks Grab N Go will be offering an amazing variety of street food for sale for attendees to enjoy along-side their beer sampling.  Back by popular demand, the folks from Throw House will be on-site offering attendees the opportunity to test their skill at axe throwing (additional fee applies). 

The 14th annual Philly Craft Beer Festival will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the 611 warehouse building on The Navy Yard campus (4747 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19112).  It will take place rain or shine or snow.  Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided for festival attendees from the Broad & Pattison SEPTA station to the festival.

The event will help raise money and awareness for the C.B.C. (Committee to Benefit the Children) a local group that provides resources for treatment, care and family support  to benefit children with cancer, leukemia and serious blood disorders..  Volunteers from the local Philadelphia charity will be selling raffle tickets at the event and conducting a toiletry drive for patients and families.  Items most needed include bar soap, shampoo, deodorant, sunscreen, and toothpaste. 

The Philly Craft Beer Festival offers two sessions VIP 12:30-5:00 pm and General Admission 1:30-5:00 pm.  The VIP session will give VIP ticketholders an additional hour at the festival, more intimate access to brewers, and the ability to try rare and sought-after beers that are only being poured at this VIP session and in the VIP area.  VIP tickets are $75 each. General Admission tickets are $49 each.  Designated Driver tickets are $12 each.  All ticket types can be purchased at the event website  A limited number of tickets will be sold, another sell-out is expected.   Everyone, including designated drivers, must be 21+ and present valid photo ID for admission.
