Intrigued by the idea of having afternoon tea but afraid of not knowing teatime etiquette—pinkies up or pinkies down? Let Lorna Reeves, editor of TeaTime magazine, show you the ropes—or rather the scones—in this virtual class that will help set you at ease. You’ll learn a bit about the history of afternoon tea, its various courses, and how to properly eat each food item without embarrassing yourself. Lorna will also give you some pointers for hosting your own teatime, including how to select and steep a great pot of tea. The afternoon tea tasting kit included as part of this event (delivered to your home via FedEx) serves 2-4 people.

Elevate Your Tea Cocktail with a 3-Star Somm

Spend an hour of your Sunday with us and learn how to elevate your brunch with a tea and cocktail experience. Certified Sommelier Joe Cracco from Le Bernadin (a 3-star Michelin restaurant) will introduce cocktail basics; as Jeni Dodd, Certified Tea Specialist, covers tea fundamentals with specific Nepalese tea emphasis. Together, they will guide you through the mixology of the unique cocktail they created featuring Nepalese tea and provide instruction on crafting that cocktail. Lively discussion will assuredly ensue afterwards as all participants enjoy the tasty beverages just made virtually.

In this tutored green tea tasting with the co-owners of Brooklyn Tea, Jamila McGill and Alfonso Wright, you will learn about the various green tea growing regions, how green tea is processed, what green teas should taste like, and interesting facts to expand your knowledge. Together, you will also brew and taste four green teas which Jamila and Alfonso will discuss how to brew each tea, the tasting notes each tea will provide, and possible health related benefits that each have been studied to have.
